More Than Just Coffee.

The Story Behind Our Social Enterprise

Outside of running Kopitalist Coffee, we spend our time volunteering with a youth program at PPR Lembah Subang 1.

After spending time and having a meaningful conversations with the community, we learned something new: many of our older youth (aged 15 and above) had unfortunately been left behind academically due to a lack of early support. For them, traditional academic catch-up was no longer the most practical path forward. The youth and the community made it clear—they needed hands-on training and apprenticeships to build practical working skills for their future.

Long story short, we decided to assist them with this request. Our catering cart serves as a real-world platform for these youth to learn customer service, operations, and business skills while being paid fair rates for their hard work.

To keep this cycle going, 50% of all profits are dedicated to our Youth Development Fund to finance other holistic programs for the community.

Common Questions

Do you need water or power?

We typically will need one standard 13A power outlet for our electric pump dispenser. We do NOT need a water line; our carts have built-in water tanks.

How much space do you need?

Our cart is compact! A roughly 2m x 2m space is perfect for the cart and the barista to work comfortably.

Do you travel outside KL?

We primarily serve the Klang Valley area. For events further afield (e.g., Seremban), a travel fee applies.

Is there a minimum order?

For our Coffee Cart service, there is a minimum order of 50 cups.
